Krassus ein vortrefflicher Redner, Crassus orator optimus. – oder es ist mit einem Subjekte oder Objekte verbunden, dessen Vorhandensein zwar angedeutet, aber durch keine bestimmenden Merkmale auf einen einzelnen Gegenstand bezogen werden soll. Hier ste ht im Latein. aliquis, z.B. in der Erklärung einer Sache, in definitione alicuius rei (wogegen in def. rei heißen würde: des bereits besprochenen oder noch zu besprechenden Gegenstandes). – Wird aber durch »ein« angedeutet, daß ein bestimmtes, obgleich nicht [663] genanntes Individuum aus einer unbestimmten Menge genannt sei, dessen Namen man entweder als bekannt voraussetzt oder nicht angeben kann, so bezeichnen dieses die Lateiner durch quidam (ein gewisser), z.B. ein Kollege, collega quidam (verschieden von quidam de od. ex collegis, s. unten no.
